	Since its inception in 1984, Five Branches Institute, College and Clinic of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), offers professional Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine at its Santa Cruz and San Jose campuses in California. The Master's program emphasizes traditional Chinese medical theory and diagnosis, acupuncture, herbology, and Western medicine as applied to integrated healthcare. The Master's Degree is the first step to becoming a Licensed Acupuncturist and Primary Healthcare practitioner in one of the fastest growing healthcare professions in the U.S. - Traditional Chinese Medicine! Five Branches is proud of having the highest passing rate in the California Licensing examination. With its 5000-year history, acupuncture has been recognized by the U.S. National Institutes of Health as a valid and effective method of healing.
	Founded in 2002 by Lori Butterworth and Devon Dabbs, Children’s Hospices & Palliative Care Coalition is a social movement led by children’s hospitals, hospices, home health and grassroots agencies, and individuals to improve care for children with life-threatening conditions and their families. In January 2005, after 3 years of intense advocacy on behalf of children with life-threatening conditions, Children’s Hospice successfully convinced the Schwarzenegger administration to initiate policy changes, which will expand Medi-Cal reimbursement for palliative and end-of-life care when the patient is a child. The administration is currently consulting with Children’s Hospice on developing and implementing the policy changes.
	National Tay-Sachs and Allied Diseases Association is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of Tay-Sachs, Canavan and related genetic diseases, and to providing information and support services to individuals and families affected by these diseases, as well as the public. Strategies for achieving these goals include research, family services, genetic screening, public and professional education and advocacy.
	Pathways Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty is a community based, not-for-profit organization that provides health services at home to families in the San Francisco Bay Area. Support from the community has enabled us to create a comprehensive array of health and supportive services: from home health to hospice care; from private duty nursing to non-medical attendant care; from elder care to comprehensive palliative care for children with life-threatening illnesses through Pathways KIDS; from conventional to integrative therapies at the end-of-life; from grief support to community education.
	The UCSF-Stanford Lysosomal Disease Center provides complete services, including consultation, examination, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and genetic counseling, for patients with lysosomal diseases and their families.The Center is dedicated to the diagnosis and management of these rare diseases and provides coordinated care by specialists in all areas of medicine. Through the Center, caregivers, patients, and their families will have access to experts from the two major university medical centers in Northern California: UCSF and Stanford.
	The International Center for Types A and B Niemann-Pick Disease was established to provide expert patient care, improved diagnosis and prevention, and research to find a treatment or cure for Types A abd B Neimann-Pick disease (NPD). The Center provides information and support for patients and families with Types A and B NPD, as well as to scientists and physicians interested in these disorders. The Center is staffed by expert and experienced physicans, basic and clinical researcher, and genetic counselors, and is in the Department of Human Genetics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York University in New York City.
